Just a few from Mr T’s session. Six days old and sweet as they come.

This happy little guy just turned one, and he was just perfect for his big day. Here are just a few photographs of his family during his big birthday shindig.

As many of you know, my hometown is Germantown, Tn. However, I graduated from UT (that’s Tennessee for you Texas folks), met my husband and settled here. However, I go home to Germantown every few months and usually do a few shoots. This is my best friend and we have known each other…many years. I met her when I was 6 yrs old. She convinced me that because my best friend at the time was moving, it was time to get a new one. So, I climbed the fence into her yard, and we’ve been friends ever since. She and her husband have three boys, and they were perfect models. I think it had a lot to do with 31 cent scoop night at Baskin Robins, but it worked and I couldn’t have asked for better guys to photograph. Ang, I hope you like them, and I’ll let you know when your gallery is ready.

It just dawned on me that Miss Z was my very first post, and now she is siting up and smiling. This time she brought Mr B (her big brother) and her mommy and daddy. Their mommy is a sweet friend of mine and I’m so thankful she picks me to photograph their children. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek. If you want to check out her newborn images. You can click here.

I will probably adding more to this post since there are so many good ones of this family, but I think we’ve waited long enough to see our contest winners. Some of you may not remember, but there was a contest in November, and Heather’s family won. Every time we would schedule a session it would snow, but yesterday the weather was perfect. I really enjoyed meeting this family. Thank you so much for coming up to Knoxville.

I’ll add more pictures of him, but I’ll start with one. He actually had his first birthday a couple weeks ago, but I wanted some outdoor photos of him. By this time last year, he had caused quite a stir. He was born at 35 weeks, and I was on bedrest for 3 months. I was in the hospital for 31 days with this little guy. Fortunately, he had no breathing issues and we were able to skip the NICU. My mother took care of my family for 4 months during all of this, so he could get here safely. He is amazing and wonderful and the most cuddly little hugger.
He isn’t walking yet, but he’s the third, and I’m in no rush. This picture cracks me because I see that expression often. He is pretty intense and keeps his eye on me at all times, unless, of course, his daddy is around.

Now that the holidays are over, it is a perfect time for some nice relaxed photographs inside. I still strive to get at play photos of your children in their environment. This is a different style and feel of the outdoor photographs, but it is a great option when you want a little something different. I still offer outdoor, but I know some moms want to keep everyone warm in January and February and March. Also the great thing about the winter is your home has its best natural light right now. Here are a few examples. I wouldn’t call these quite lifestyle photography, but the light is splendid. I love spring time, but I always miss the natural light winter offers.

One more sneak peek for this mommy. Doesn’t he make you smile just looking at him?

I was also fortunate enough to meet these twins. Just in case you are wondering, they are 15 months old and perfectly precious. The little girl has lashes that go on forever around her beautiful blue eyes and that little guy has the sweetest, squishiest cheeks ever. Thank you for allowing me to photograph your children.
