I love sweet little boys and sweet, little, sassy girls, and these parents brought one of each. I usually only get to see these beautiful children during the rush of pick ups and drop offs, so getting to spend some time with them and their parents was such a treat. I hope you enjoy their sneak peek.

Outdoor Family Photography Knoxville, TN

I’m blogging a little slower than usual these days, but here is the sneak peek for this sweet family. They just added a new addition to their family, and wanted some new photos of their three beautiful boys. Hope you like them!

Knoxville Child and Family Portraits

I’m having such a great time watching this little one grow. She is so giggly and sweet, but her best smiles and giggles are when she is with her mommy and daddy. Oh and Mom actually makes these bows. They are so great for little girls.

I haven’t blogged very much lately. My three little ones have been keeping me busy. I’ve been spending most of my days in my car going from one activity to another. However, I knew this little guy was on his way, and I’ve been anxiously awaiting his birth. I think I checked his mother’s Facebook status everyday for two weeks. He is just perfect, and he has some amazing parents.

I love watching this little cutie grow. I cannot believe how much a baby can change in 3 months. You may remember her from her newborn photos. She is a doll.

Three Month Old

Just a quick sneak peek of this mother and daughter’s session. You can tell where her daughter gets her stunning good looks. I asked, like I always do, if they were okay with letting me post, and she asked to see them first. That’s fine with me, and I’m so glad she agreed. I would have turned inside out if I couldn’t have shared these beautiful photos.

Mother and Daughter Session

Meet Miss N. She brought her parents with her for a session at the UT Gardens. She wasn’t having the funny noises or any of my goofiness, but when her mommy, told her she was a good girl– nothing but smiles and a claps. Mary, I hope you and Paul like these, and your gallery should be up by tomorrow.

Holiday Pictures

I was so excited to get this family on my calendar. Their two children are really close in age to two of my children, so I knew they were going to be fun, and they were. Little Miss S loves her snacks. I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen a child turn and smile as well as she did with the promise of a gummy fruit, and Mr N had a very shiny, new trophy to show me. We kept it in our sites for this shoot.
Also, I always get asked about my locations, so I’m going to tell you about this one. It requires a little patience. When all the leaves have turned brown and fallen to the ground, these Ginkgo trees are at their peak, unfortunately, so are the berries. I blamed it on other things, but Mom realized what it was, and I googled it. She was right. Apparently, it is an issue with these gorgeous trees’ fruit. I guess I’ll add these to the list of other things that I like for portraits (back allies, old buildings, weeds, rotten tree stumps and now stinky trees). Fortunately, these photos are not scratch and sniff, so now we can enjoy them the way they were meant to be, with the smell of fresh coffee or whatever will be baking in our homes this Thanksgiving, Christmas and Hanukah.

Family Pics

Why the title? Just a few lyrics from a the song of the day. University of Tennessee won today, and I’d bet this family is pretty happy about that. I know I’m pretty happy about it. In Knoxville, we love our VOLS! I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen Volunteer Orange worn as well as this crew. These boys are precious and their parents were a dream to shoot. I hope you like your sneak peek at their session.

My interest in photography came back as soon as I had children. My friends had beautiful pictures of their family displayed on the wall, and I thought that I would like photos for myself. So, I learned everything I could so that I too could have pictures on my walls, and then it dawned on me (much later than it should have), it is really stinking hard to take photos of yourself, your husband and your three kids. Thankfully there is a solution– a trade. I take photos of another photographer’s family, and they take photos of mine, so here is the photographer who traded with me. She’s fantastic and her family is beautiful. I can’t wait to see the images she took of my family!
