I am offering a FREE Senior Session during the month of September to the Senior or parent of a Senior (Class of 2011) with the most friends who are fans of Ramsey Garza Photography. If, by August 16th, you have the most friends and you send me a screen shot of my page and the number of friends that you have, who also have liked my page, you win a free session. There are a couple rules– the first one is this is not endorsed or sponsored by Facebook. The session must be in September. You receive a free session and 20% off gift prints and wallets. Your school must be in Knoxville, TN. Email me at ramsc1@yahoo.com with the photos– you can block out the pics of your friends. I really just need to see my page with the number. You can “gift” the session to a fellow member of the Class of 2011. If your submission is not in my email account by midnight on August 16th 2010, it will not count. Also, your friends who are fans may want to be in the contest too. No biggie, just find more friends
. I’m hoping those are all the rules I’m going to need, but I may add more if this gets too crazy. You will get a free session if you have the most friends, you will get a discount. If you have any questions, feel free to make a comment on the blog and I’ll answer any questions. Good Luck!

Just one for now.

This is a little something different than I normally photograph, but I loved it. The Square Room features bands on Friday at noon for the Blue Plate Special. It is so much fun. Live music is a special treat for this mommy, and to be able to listen to it before you turn into a pumpkin is awesome. Unfortunately for me, I didn’t even realize this goes on until I contacted The David Wax Museum to ask if I could use their song for my site. They asked if I would takes some shots for them during the show. So, I get to listen to live music, and I get to shoot. That’s a great afternoon for me.
This is a band that you really need to check out. If any of my photography friends see a little camera shake, it isn’t my shutter speed. This is a fun band. Here is the link to their site- The David Wax Museum . There is a digital download or the physical CD, and of course, iTunes.

My calendar is full this Spring. Summer is Senior Season and I will be accepting new Senior clients as long as those sessions are available. However, because I am so busy, I am working on a referral base for Newborn, Baby, Child and Family clients until the end of the year. I can’t believe it, but I looked at my calendar, and I have sessions until October, so I’ve got to slow it down. I am really excited about the response the site has gotten and the facebook page has over a thousand fans, so thank you so very much. If I have spoken to you and you haven’t made an appointment for a session, we will get your session scheduled, but go ahead and call soon. If you are thinking that you would like to have Fall photos made, leaves change October though mid November. I will not do any shoots in December, so if you want (and I can’t believe I’m scheduling in March) family photos for Christmas cards, you may want to schedule those now.

I’ll add more pictures of him, but I’ll start with one. He actually had his first birthday a couple weeks ago, but I wanted some outdoor photos of him. By this time last year, he had caused quite a stir. He was born at 35 weeks, and I was on bedrest for 3 months. I was in the hospital for 31 days with this little guy. Fortunately, he had no breathing issues and we were able to skip the NICU. My mother took care of my family for 4 months during all of this, so he could get here safely. He is amazing and wonderful and the most cuddly little hugger.
He isn’t walking yet, but he’s the third, and I’m in no rush. This picture cracks me because I see that expression often. He is pretty intense and keeps his eye on me at all times, unless, of course, his daddy is around.

It is freezing cold, and I’m getting geared up for Spring. I am offering Spring Mini Sessions during April and May. The sessions will last 30 minutes each in Sequoyah Hills and you will be able to choose from 5-7 images. It’s the perfect time for that neighborhood. The dogwoods will be blooming all along the Dogwood Trails, and it will be warmer! The best part is that I am offering these for $45 and includes a free 8×10. There is a catch. You must book by the end of February. So book your family or child’s portrait session and mark it off your to do list.
Session are currently booked. Please bookmark this blog for upcoming specials or checkout the fan page on Facebook. I send updates on specials as they come available.

Ramsey Garza Photography is looking for a Senior Representative for Senior Photos. You would receive a free session and 20% off of prints and 15% off canvases. $25 towards total order for every referral — up to $375. I am only offering 15 Senior Shoots this entire year, so you can be sure that your Senior Photos will not look like anyone else’s. Of course, you would like to see what a senior session might look like, so I’ve added a few examples. This is my beautiful niece, and she graduates in just a few months!

First and foremost, our contest winner is Heather’s Family, Family Entry #1. I cannot wait to meet them and photograph them. Congratulations Heather!
I really wanted to photograph all the families, so I offered the other two families incentives for pictures. I couldn’t help myself. They were so cute. Hopefully, I will get to photograph their families too.
I cannot believe how well the contest did. I really expected ten or so entries. I think by the end there were over 70 cuties pies! And, because I appreciate everyone’s participation so much, if you sent in an entry and you would still like family photos or just photos of your child, call me or email me by December 11, 2009. I’m offering everyone who entered their child a 30% discount on their entire print order and sitting fee (15% off gallery wraps and canvases) if you schedule a session between now and June 5, 2010. If you are unable to make your first scheduled session, you can change it one time within the 6 month time frame. Again, THANK YOU!
