The joke when we scheduled this shoot was that it would be the hottest day in August. I am no longer making any more jokes like that. It was the most hot and humid day I can remember. The kids were champs. I was a hot and sweaty mess and the family was beautiful. However, I was able to shoot during my favorite time of the day. I love it and I always know if I can get a family to stay late, I’m going to have amazing images. The light is always warm and beautiful, but best of all, the children really start to relax as the sun goes down. Also, I really mean to shorten my blog posts, but I love their photos so I’m sharing too many, again.

I am offering a FREE Senior Session during the month of September to the Senior or parent of a Senior (Class of 2011) with the most friends who are fans of Ramsey Garza Photography. If, by August 16th, you have the most friends and you send me a screen shot of my page and the number of friends that you have, who also have liked my page, you win a free session. There are a couple rules– the first one is this is not endorsed or sponsored by Facebook. The session must be in September. You receive a free session and 20% off gift prints and wallets. I’ve taken off this month, but when my mom and sister-in-law mentioned they would like photos, I was ready to start shooting again. These are my nephews. Two of them are brothers. When people ask how many children I would like to have, I think of all my nieces and nephews, and how loud my parents house would get when everyone is around and the chaos of my mom’s kitchen when we are all piled in her house, and I, very confidently, tell them I’ve always wanted a big family. As much as I love quiet, I love the noise of family. I love these boys. There are more of them, so hopefully, I’ll get shoot them soon.

She braved the heat, and while my hair frizzed in the back and stuck to my head, hers cascaded beautifully down onto her shoulders in her amazing shade of red. These photos were so much fun to edit, and she was such a trooper. We met at Market Square and then Knoxville Botanical Gardens. It was so hot, but I think the photos were worth it.

These are my babies, and I am way behind on some photos for grandparents and updating my husband’s office. So, I took them one by one to this little spot in our backyard. It was so much easier than a group shot, and I really got to see them be them. We talked, and once I found that funny thing to say, I got good giggles, real laughs and some pretty valuable mommy and me time. I love my babies. They were all born within 3 years and 3 days, and I’m starting to catch my breath a little now. They are amazing and wonderful, and I could gush all day long about them.
